Midwest Ballet Theatre is the pre-professional student ballet company of Patzius Performing Arts. It provides extra performance opportunities for our most talented students who exhibit dedication, focus and aspirations to perform at a professional level.
The program is designed to guide dancers in their development of classical and contemporary ballet. Company members gain valuable performing experience and learn “tricks of the trade” such as: tips and experience in auditioning, application of stage makeup, developing the confidence and responsibility necessary to succeed, and of course, love of the art.
Members also have the opportunity to compete at the YouthAmerica Grand Prix Ballet Competition each year. YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix) is the only student ballet competition that awards scholarships to leading dance schools, both in the US and abroad.
Midwest Ballet Theatre is a 501 Not For Profit ballet company. To donate, mail checks payable to Midwest Ballet Theatre. All donations are tax deductible. Funds will be used for community performances, student need, and talent scholarships.
